Bennycasino is an independent online-casino review site, founded in 2019 and run by Andreas Skårlin. We exist for one reason: most casino review sites are written by people who have never deposited at the operator they are reviewing. We do, every time, with our own money, before any review goes live.

Our mission

There are thousands of online casinos. Most are mediocre, some are predatory, a smaller number are genuinely well-run. Our job is to do the work of separating those three categories, with a method players can audit, so the time you spend looking for a casino is short and the casino you end up at is one we have personally verified.

How we review a casino

Every casino on this site has been put through the same eight-step process. The methodology is fixed; what changes is the score the casino earns at each step.

1. License verification

We confirm the operator is licensed in the markets where it accepts players. We check the license against the regulator (Spelinspektionen, Spillemyndigheden, UKGC, MGA, GGL). License number gets recorded.

2. Deposit test

We deposit our own money, small amount, using at least two payment methods. We record speed, fees, KYC interruptions and confirmations.

3. Bonus claim and terms read-through

If a welcome bonus is offered, we claim it. We read every line of the bonus terms, wagering, max stake during wagering, restricted games, bonus expiry. Anything misleading or hidden in small print gets noted.

4. Game library walk-through

We open game categories, time the load, check the providers actually present versus advertised, and verify whether RTPs are configurable per operator (some are, and that affects player return).

5. Live-play session

We play through a real session of slots and a live-casino table. We log session length, any forced popups, the reality-check intervals, and how withdrawal-while-bonus-active is handled.

6. Withdrawal test

We withdraw winnings (or the deposit if the bonus didn't pan out). We record full timeline: pending → reviewed → cleared → in account. Withdrawal is the single most important player experience and most reviews skip it.

7. Customer support test

We contact support during the test with a real question. We measure response time, accuracy, and whether the agent can actually help or just paste links to FAQs.

8. Compliance & responsible-gambling check

We verify the operator displays mandatory elements (license, age gate, RG resources, helplines for the relevant jurisdiction). Operators that hide these or only show them on the footer of one page do not pass.

What makes our reviews different

Every casino gets a Changelog, a public log of every score change, every term change, every issue. Most review sites silently update; we keep the history.
We publish our test methodology in detail (the eight steps above). If we score down on withdrawal speed, you can see exactly what we tested.
Player-type analysis: we don't just give one score; we score the casino for beginners, slots fans, high rollers, live-casino players and bonus hunters separately. The right casino depends on the player.
Comparison matrices: rather than "best 10 casinos", we let you compare two or three at a time on the dimensions that matter to you.

Editorial independence

Bennycasino takes affiliate commission from operators who allow registrations through our links. This is a standard model in the industry and we are not going to pretend it is not. What we do guarantee:

No operator can buy a higher rating. Ratings are scored against the eight-step methodology with fixed weights.
No operator can buy a higher position in our listings. Listings are sorted by rating and recency, not by commission rate.
No operator can edit our reviews. They can flag factual errors and we correct those; they cannot rewrite a verdict.
When an operator drops below our minimum bar, we delist them, even if they pay us well, and we keep the historical review online with a take-down note.
